What we aim for, what we know is not there yet, and how to tell us about a problem.

What we are aiming for
Revision Ninja Ltd aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 (WCAG 2.2) at level AA across revisionninja.com.
We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit. This statement describes our own testing and the problems we already know about — it is not a conformance claim.
What we have done
- Pages are built from one shared page shell, which provides a skip-to-content link and makes a single page heading a requirement rather than an option.
- Colour is defined once, as design tokens, and the site ships a light and a dark theme you can choose in your account settings — or leave to follow your device.
- Buttons and links show a visible focus ring when you reach them with a keyboard.
- Layouts are responsive: they are built to reflow rather than scroll sideways on a phone or when a page is zoomed.
What we know is not fully accessible
- Interactive lesson activities are built with H5P, a third-party player. We do not control its markup, its keyboard behaviour or how it announces itself to a screen reader, and some activity types are known to be difficult to use without a mouse.
- Some lessons embed video from YouTube. The player is YouTube's, and captions depend on the video.
- NCFE past papers are PDFs produced by NCFE, not by us. We cannot change their structure or tagging.
- Some lesson images were carried over from our previous website and may have missing or unhelpful alternative text. We are working through them.
How to report a problem
If something on Revision Ninja is hard or impossible to use, tell us. Email hello@revisionninja.com and include:
- the address of the page
- what you were trying to do
- what happened instead
- the browser, device and any assistive technology you were using
We will reply, tell you what we can do and, where we cannot fix something ourselves — a third-party player, or a PDF from the awarding organisation — we will say so and offer another way to get the same content.
